ABOUT
Shugarman Architecture + Design Inc. is a studio firm practicing in the disciplines of Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, and Urban Design.
We are a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated studio with a singular passion; for providing our clients with the best in Design.
The practice is led by Michael Shugarman as principal on every project. Michael is supported by highly-experienced and talented individuals in both architectural and interior design. These individuals include architects Sean Lee and Deny Faunt, interior designer Crystal Koopman, and senior technologist Taehee Kwon.
We are client and service driven. A principal will listen to your needs, and interpret those needs within an assigned design team. That principal will remain involved from programming to post occupancy evaluation.
We do not have middle management and give each client our full attention and involvement. We do not differentiate roles based on the phase of a project. For example, no individual is engaged only in concept design, or only on construction administration.
We do not differentiate process based on discipline. For example, interior design is subject to the same rigour as architecture or masterplanning. We believe each discipline and scale is of equal value.
We believe that well-executed work is best achieved through this practice model throughout all stages of a project.
At Shugarman Architecture + Design Inc., we believe established budgets provide opportunity for innovation rather than limiting possibilities.
We have completed both public and private projects throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and California.
