The company was founded by Michael Shugarman through his ambition for making the world a better place. He held the belief that despite the divisions we often focus on, people share more than what divides them, and he wanted to connect people: to each other, to the natural world around them, and to who we each are as individuals.
He believed that designing meaningful spaces, with careful attention to the beauty of materials, to carefully crafted details, and to the play of light on form constitute the foundation for becoming self aware, and for connecting us to people and the world around ourselves.
We are grateful to have been able to continue this ambition for 30 years and could not have achieved this milestone without our clients—clients that often transform into cherished friendships—and our brilliant team of architects, interior designers, renderers, technologists,and business development staff — so, thank you.
