Project Overview

This project was a renovation addition of a home on a steep hill overlooking a lake. The design brief was to seamlessly integrate an upper level onto an existing home, and to create a private retreat with master bedroom, exercise room, den, offices, closets and washrooms.

The upper level provided for unobstructed lake and mountain views from all sides, and as such the architectural solution was to maximize windows where possible. The interior material palette was kept simple but rich. Tone on tone lacquers are paired against onyx, quartzite, marble, and limestone, with custom area carpets of silk.
