The Legends Private Residences is Edmonton’s premier condominium offering.

The project includes 264 condominium units that sit atop the new ICE District JW Marriot Hotel and occupy the 23rd through 54th floors. Within these floors are 36 unit types, ranging from small one-bedrooms, to two-storey townhouses, to expansive half-floor units.

Shugarman Architecture + Design Inc. was retained by the developer in two capacities for this wonderful project.

Our first role was to act as Owner’s Representative for Aesthetic Design on the entire 54 story building. In this capacity, we conveyed the owner’s initial aesthetic design parameters, provided guidance and assistance to the base building architects of Hariri Pontarini Architects and DIALOG through the Schematic Design phase regarding the overall aesthetic direction, and reported to ownership at various milestones for aesthetic design feedback and approval.

Secondly, Shugarman Architecture + Design Inc. was retained as the Interior Design consultant for the Legends interiors.

We co-designed the suite layouts with Hariri Pontarini Architects of Toronto, as well as completed all interior design within the Legends itself; including all residence interiors, corridors, amenity spaces and lobbies.

We also worked with the developer’s sales and marketing teams throughout the process to design the award-winning presentations center and to stage the presentation sales suites.

In addition, we developed all marketing renderings and blackline sales plans.

Shugarman continues to work with individual Purchasers on a request basis to further customize and furnish various unit interiors.
